The fresco on the back wall of the last bay of the nave, the work of an anonymous artist, has the particular feature of bearing the date of 1349 and thereby constituting a milestone in the Giotto painting tradition in Lombardy. The central fresco and the two lateral ones are the work of Giusto de' Menabuoi, better known for his activities in the workshop of Francesco il Vecchio da Carrara in Padua after 1370. The entire cycle, painted on a single scaffolding by two separate workshops, was restored during the nineties of the last century because of the severe damage suffered during the Second World War.
