Villa

Villa "I Tatti", Settignano

Firenze - Museum

A typical sixteenth century building, the villa was the residence of the art historian Bernard Berenson (1865-1959). The scholar collected furniture, art objects and a rich collection of Italian masterpieces especially from the XIV, XV and XVI centuries which were displayed here. The villa, with its art collection, library and photographic library, was left by his will to Harvard University, which has made it the headquarters of its Center for Italian Renaissance Studies.
